Our food pantry offers fresh, healthy choices for our clients

We designed our food pantry and surrounding programming to address hunger and health-related issues that affect low-income families.

There is dignity in choice.

Our super-market style layout allows for shoppers to make choices that fit their families’ needs.
Our food pantry offers fresh fruits & vegetables, whole grains & beans, meats, fish, & milk.

We serve the community

Our multi-tiered approach to improving the health of our community doesn’t stop at our pantry.

Long Island City CSA

We host the local Long Island City CSA, allowing local farmers to deliver fresh produce directly to their urban customers. Any farm-fresh fruits and vegetables leftover from the CSA are donated directly to the pantry to be given to pantry clients.

Local Produce Link

United Way help us connect local farmers to our food pantry. As a result, hundreds of pounds of fresh, organic vegetables are distributed to our clients each summer and fall.

Cooking Demonstrations

Educational resources like cooking demos help our community learn more about how to provide nutritious meals.

Other Services

Come to our pantry for free flu shots, SNAP, and blood pressure screenings. We distribute items such as diapers, formula, backpacks and school suppplies, and holiday gifts, when we can. We also host periodic financial literacy workshops.

Meet Our Volunteers

Nina, our Food Pantry and Outreach Coordinator, works with a dedicated group of about 20 volunteers that come weekly to help ensure that each distribution runs smoothly.
